Periodical Layout
About the Project: The objective of this project was to observe an existing publication and modify the grid to create a new aesthetic for the periodical. I decided to base my periodical spreads off of an Art Journal. The topic for each article was chosen based on personal interest, so I chose an article juxtaposing Ecology and Design. The project was an opportunity to work with type and image, while following multi-page grid systems.
Project Specifications: One spread that contains contents for the periodical. Two spreads for an article, presenting content based on personal interest. One spread that presents back matter (contributors, subscription information, etc.).
