Hello, my name is Alicia Harvey (Hamon). I am a graduate of Ohio University. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Graphic Design and a Bachelor of Science in Communication (B.S.C.) in Organizational Communication.
Nowadays, nearly everything has a graphic identity. With media becoming more and more prominent in our daily lives, it will be my job as a graphic designer to make things stand out from the crowd, both visually and contextually. As a designer I hope to bring attention to these issues; by pushing past the denotative level and creating a new level of connotative intellect. Being a graphic designer requires a person to have a combination of social responsibility, education, and visual expression in their work that is able to influence and affect people daily. I have always felt most enthusiastic about graphic works that teach, inform, and also provoke thoughts.
